Startup the Future by Galp Upcoming Energies Program's official language is English. This is an international program looking for worldwide startups.
Startup the Future by Galp Upcoming Energies will be mostly online (pitch days and modules), with a physical Demo Day and presence at Web Summit Lisbon 2022. This may be subject to changes, due to the covid-19 pandemic. All information will be communicated in advance.
For the Online Pitch (Evaluation phase), one person will be required to pitch the startup and solution. It is important to have a team member that can address all questions from the program members. For the Modules, we advise at least two team members of your startup, one business-oriented and another more tech-oriented to be able to cover all types of conversations in the 1-on-1 sessions with Galp.
Startup the Future by Galp Upcoming Energies is a pilot-focused program that aims to foster collaboration between startups and corporations, therefore no equity is taken.
The selection process will be managed by Beta-i Brasil and GALP. A team of evaluators will be focusing on your product, team, market, and business model, and will even be counting on their gut feeling and experience from previous Open Innovation programs.
If your startup is pre-selected after the online applications (F6S), you’ll be invited to each Module Online Pitch. Afterward, the selected startups will be invited to take part in specific Modules and the startups with the best fit with the partners might move forward to Piloting Development. Top 8 startups will be invited to join program members in Portugal for the Demo Day and Web Summit.
